Text is easy to add.
Remember the 2 rules about a wiki. Edit and save. Edit and save.
While you are adding text, use the Preview button to view your pages without actually leaving edit mode
A web link to a food pyramid
1. Find a website that you want to use that has information about food pyramids, healthy life styles, exercise etc on it
2. Copy the url, the address.
3. Open up your wiki page
4. Write, give a pointer. eg Food Pyramid
5. Highlight those words and click on the word Link at the top of this page.
6. On the window that comes up click on web address
7. Paste in the url. in the address line
8. Click Add link.
9. Now click save for this window and admire your work from the web page view.
To add a photo to your page:
You need to make sure that your photo is small, named correctly eg Jocelyn, or exercises and you know where it is kept
Click on edit. When that window opens up click on the File icon at the top of this window. the one that looks like a picture
Name your photo in the small window that starts with Begin typing a file name.
Click on the Upload file button. The computer will then ask you where you photo is. Find your photo and add
Now when you click on your photo the image will position itself on your page. You can move and manipulate your image and also shrink the size by clicking the - or + sign.
Adding movie to your page
Capture your 30 sec piece of video
Name and save it in your folder
Open You tube and log in
Click the upload button, top right hand corner
Select files to upload
Choose your privacy settings
WAIT as the video uploads......watch the bar at the top of the page
When complete click on video manager
double click to get the large screen
Click share
click embed (remember to untick the box to show other videos)
Copy the code
Open your wiki page. Click edit
Place your cursor where you want your video to go
Adding an audio file to your page 1. Record your audio footage on an EasiSpeak. Do an interview. 2. Download the file into your folder and give the file a name eg M

3.Open your wiki and click on Edit. Place the curser where you want the file to go. When that window opens up click on the File icon at the top of this window. the one that looks like a picture 4. Name your audio in the small window that starts with Begin typing a file name. 5. Click on the Upload file button. and wait until you see the audio file symbol 6. Double click on the audio file
7. Use the - or + to re position your file
8. Don't forget to click save
9. Write a descriptor, a piece that tells you about your audio file.eg Listen to Ms J our teacher describing her favourite foods.....
